Hand Painted Bespoke Cards

Mother's Day Cards

I've been painting and illustrating quite a few cards recently - which I love doing!  It adds such a personal touch to something that I love to do - send post!  Sometimes theres just not the right card for the occasion (or for the person) in the shop, so I have to get creative :)

Birthday wishes for a cocktail loving man.
A lovely friend of mine had BACK SURGERY!  Not many cards for that I can tell you.

Happy Grandpa's day to my Grandpa!  And Happy Fathers' Day to the best Dad!

Have you made any cards recently?  I'd love to see them!  If you'd like to commission me to paint you a bespoke card, just get in touch - prices are very reasonable.

Wild Strawberry Cafe events Posters

After having done some lovely postcard flyers for the Wild Strawberry Cafe @ Peterley Manor Farm, I've also been creating some sweet events posters for them too.  More to follow soon but for now, here are the posters I've done so far.

We kicked off this project with a Mother's Day Floristry Workshop, which challenged my flower illustrating skills but ultimately produced something really lovely to help advertise a great event.

The success of this workshop quickly spurred on the second - with an updated poster.  'Teacup' Floristry Workshops are good on any day of the year!

And coming up soon we have Father's Day!  Hopefully we have some nice weather to celebrate our Dads in style, with a hog roast and a nice cold cider.

You can find all the information on the Peterley Manor Farm website - and doesn't it look good?!

You can follow them online on Twitter @peterleyfarm and the cafe has it's own Instagram to @wildstrawb_cafe

If you're interested in your own poster for an event, please get in touch in the comments section or email me directly at charlotte_vallance@hotmail.com - the above posters are not available as they are bespoke to Peterley Manor Farm, but I'm able to create something just as lovely for your event.

Inspired by Mum

Knitting themed card

It's true, my Mum very much so inspired my little Mother's Day card range - Thank you Mum!  The great thing with these cards is that I am able to change the text so they are suitable for any occasion.  All are hand painted and made to order for £3.50 + p&p.

A new Mum!

For the Mum that likes a bit of embroidery!

The kind of flowers that won't die on you!

For the Mum with green thumbs!

I'd love to hear what you think of this little range, or if there's a design you'd like to see me do.  Which is your favourite?

Spring feeling

There's something about Valentine's and Mother's Day (with Easter close behind!) that makes me think of Spring, days getting lighter and general good feelings!  With this present in my mind I've introduced a set of four 'Heart of Flowers' greeting cards to my Etsy shop.  Each is hand painted by me on a lovely, thick, textured watercolour paper and come with brown envelopes.  This little set saves you a couple of pounds than if you were to buy four individual hand painted cards.  If there is a different design in my shop you had your eye on for a set, then just send me a message and I can work out a special listing for your order.

Happy Mothering Sunday

Happy Mothering Sunday!

I always design my Mother's Day card range with my own Mum in mind.  This backfires when she's seen all the designs pre-Mother's Day and I need a special design just for her!  This year I had 3 hand painted designs I worked with.  They were available to buy at the cafe local to us in Old Amersham, Seasons Cafe Deli.

These last two are the special ones I painted for my Granny and my Mum.  My Gran's one is a larger version of one of the above designs and my Mum's is a heart of (my interpretation of them anyway) English Daisies, with a personalised message.

I had a few orders from friends as well as selling them in the shop, which was lovely!  If you've seen something you like and don't know how to get hold of one, then please leave a message on this blog post and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Do you hand make your Mum cards or do you opt for a pretty/quirky card from a shop?
