Peterley Manor Farm Christmas Market

My first time at this lovely market but not my first time at the Farm!  You will recognise it from previous posts on my design work for the Wild Strawberry Cafe that they have in the Yurt there, and my on going work with them (pictures shared via instagram as well!).  The market was such a success last year that they opened up some extra space so that it was bigger and better than last year, and offered more and variations on what shoppers would of experienced last year as well.

I was next to some lovely stall holders and also was lucky enough to meet some online friends - love it when that happens!  We were there till around 4pm both Saturday and Sunday, which, with the light fading fast and early was just perfect to get a nice glow from the fairy lights before packing up.

The Wild Strawberry Cafe strayed from it's home in the Yurt to bring us mulled wine, coffee, tea and baked goods - all the yumminess!  The Christmas cards I designed for the Farm Shop also made their debut which was lovely to see, they looked so cute all tied up with string in their packs.

I had a few enquiries for house portraits (which are my favourite!) so I went home a super happy girl.  Thank you for having us all Peterley Manor Farm!

This year the market was on the 28th and 29th of November, so keep an eye out in 2016 for similar dates!  Or check the above link to sign up to the newsletter from Peterley Manor Farm.

BUST Craftacular, Bethnal Green

What a market!

My first time with BUST Craftacular and while I started out a little nervous, it was fab!  It helped having some friendly and familiar faces - Claireabellemakes, Ladybird Likes, Ceridwyn Hazelchild - around to have a quick chat and natter with.  I also had my awesome sister and her husband helping me out and keeping me company, which I wouldn't of liked to be without!

My 'Bookshops of London' and 'Amsterdam' ranges got lots of lovely attention.

New and old products alike were out for all to see.

There was so much going on at this market, I'm sure people made a day of it and enjoyed everything that there was on offer - market stalls, workshops and a cafe for refreshments.  Well I hope people made a day of it!

There was a £3 entrance charge - if you were in the first 100 in, then you got a free goodie bag! - I was unsure what to make of this charge, as I've not done a market with one before, but it didn't seem to hinder people, and the market seemed busy nearly all day - winner.

Contact me at charlotte_vallance@hotmail.com for more details.

For me this market was a success, and, it even got me into gear to produce some much needed flyers for my bespoke watercolour house illustrations.

The above cheesy photo is a still from a video that the lovely Claire from Claireabellemakes put together!  You can watch the whole thing on her YouTube page here: https://www.youtube.com

Did you see me at the market, or were you selling?  Share your thoughts and links below if you were!

The Artfordable Fair @ 13 The Gallery

Cracking into the London Market and Art Fair scene is not easy at all.  Which is why I was quite excited to get accepted to this lovely monthly market at 13 The Gallery for August in North London.  I packed up a small table and a selection of my favourite prints and cards and set off to set up shop there for the weekend.

As with most events in August, it was a little quiet, but I was able to cover costs, spend time with some lovely people and explore another area of London I hadn't seen yet.  Success I say!

You can visit the gallery during the week, or for this art market once a month on Saturday and Sunday.

The Little Fox Market - take 3

I got back from my travels and the next weekend I was setting up in Rickmansworth for the Little Fox Market - straight back into it!  I'd been printing like crazy to get a good range of sizes and colours for my new babygrows - and they looked cute on the little hangers.

It's always nice to get everything out and have it all on display together, this market being no different and I even brought the big Amsterdam print with me too.  I love being able to have a chat with people selling as well as buying - theres always a nice atmosphere at this market!

New and old greeting card designs...even newer ones are still being worked on!

A new neighbour! Jane from 'The Little Lemon Bakery' was next to me this week - delicious fudge and chocolate pretzels - highly recommended!

And this was pretty much my view for the day...not too bad ay?

Thursday, 29 November 2012

I'll be at this lovely market selling my illustrations and various goodies as well!  If you're after something in particular then let me know and I'll have it ready for you to collect on the day.

Apart from the books I plan on taking everything I have available in my Etsy shop:

GETTING EXCITED ABOUT THIS NOW!
